You thought of Samsung Galaxy SIII being a premium device. Err!! Yeah sure it is! But what is so premium about it? Is it The specs, is it the hardware or the form factor. In my case it is obviously the apps. Samsung knows this fact & really is really keen on applying it. recently Samsung has launched the astonishing Samsung Galaxy SIII, a successor of the Samsung Galaxy SII. The one app Samsung made exclusively for its Galaxy SIII is Called Flipboard. Till now there is no result for “Flipboard” in the Google Play Store. Considering it as a premium app Samsung doesn’t want everyone to get a hands on experience. You can download the app via XDA’s thread.
Well enough of the introduction, let’s see what this app does. Basically it is a digital magazine style app, which enriches your Magazine viewing experience if you have a large screen device. When you will open up the app a prompt may occur stating that “This device does not meet the minimum requirements and is not supported by Flipboard. Your results may vary.” But don’t worry the app works perfectly fine without any glitches ( At least for my Samsung Galaxy Fit) & don’t worry your phone won’t burst. You just need to click OK and forget all about it. The home screen features the cover stories i.e. the main trending news of the time you can see a search icon on the upper right corner of the app which allows you to search Your Flipboard, Accounts & that week’s to trends. Clicking on the search button will also provide you the shortcut to News, Business, Tech & Science, Videos, Cool Curators, Photos & Design , Living , Entertainment, Sports , Local , Travel & Style. Huff!! A long list. There are shortcuts for Facebook & News, but it may change.
Flipboard App for Android
Scrolling vertically the app enables us to browser through content with a beautiful animation of turning pages. On the lower left corner there is a refresh button, which obviously refreshes the content on the display. Some awesome features of this app includes the ability to sync the app its main page with our Facebook’s & Twitter’s Main headlines, which I think is a must.We can also compose a new status update for Facebook and twitter. Another thing which forces us to use the Flipboard for android is the inside the app reading ability. Tapping on the photos takes us to the full screen mode in which we can see the image in full resolution along with the ability to pinch & Zoom. Again tapping on it takes us back to the previous screen. We can also mute some authors i.e. Those who you don’t like or are irritating or whatever. It also features some read later services like Instapaper, Pocket & Readability. You just need to go to the settings menu and log in with one of them of all of them (your choice).
